Showcasing a traditional arched Mehrab (prayer niche) design woven over a noble, deep black field, highlighted by an elegant hanging lamp/chandelier motif, stately side pillars, and vibrant turquoise upper accents, this exceptional Iranian machine-woven silk prayer rug introduces mystical grace to your private spaces. With its generous $80times120$ cm dimensions, it provides a spacious and comfortable layout for prayer while forming a striking contrast with its warm terracotta, orange, and red-patterned borders.
Hybrid Craftsmanship (Combined Techniques): It blends the flawless symmetry of modern machine weaving with the touch of master hands; the surface shaving, fringe integration, and edge sewing are entirely done by hand.
Modal Silk Brilliance: Woven with high-quality modal silk yarns, it features an eye-catching sheen and a velvet-smooth surface. The deep black field beautifully absorbs light to create depth, while the turquoise and golden details shimmer dynamically under different lighting.
Architectural Composition with Hanging Lamp: It brings together the most symbolic elements in traditional Persian rug history. The elegant arch layout and central hanging lamp create an ideal visual focus for prayer, while the botanical scrolls crawling up the columns add a sense of natural tranquility.
Ultra-Dense Texture: With an ultra-dense construction of 1500 knots per $cm^2$, even the finest lines of the central lamp, architectural pillars, and intertwined botanical border vines appear exceptionally sharp.
This piece is not just a floor covering; it is a work of art where modern technology meets traditional hand craftsmanship. After the body is woven using advanced machine techniques, experienced artisans meticulously shave the surface by hand to bring out the true softness of the silk, finishing the borders and light-colored fringes with hand-sewn details. Curated for the EBRISEM Gallery collection, this design brings classical spiritual heritage into modern living with a practical, durable approach to everyday luxury.
